إسماعيل سعد علي من مواليد الإسكندرية عام 1974 ؛ خريج المعهد العالي للخدمة الاجتماعية بالإسكندرية ثم حصلت علي شهادة لصيانة الحاسوب من شركة ميكروسوفت ؛ عملت عدة سنوات كمحرر صحفي في عدة مواقع محلية معروفة , ومنها موقع صوت إسكندرية وبخاصة القسم الثقافي في مجلة إسكندرية وحصلت علي عدة دورات صحفية وإعلامية معروفة بدأت في كتابة القصص القصيرة منذ عام 1997 حيث نشرت أولي القصص في أحدي المجلات المحلية وتوقفت فترة عن كتابة القصص كهواية ثم بدأت في كتابة مجموعتي الأولي بداية العام الحالي وتشرفت بنشرها بواسطة سماش وردذ وحاليا أجهز للمجموعتين الثانية والثالثة كثلاثية للإسكندرية
