این رساله مشتمل بر اسباب و عواملی است كه انشاءالله سبب نابودی گناهان میشوند. الله متعال انسان را كه دارای سرشتی مركب از گناه و طاعت بود به خلافت برگزید. و راه خیر و شر هردو را در اختیارش قرار داد تا بكارگیری نیروی عقلانی، در روشنی وحی، بر دشمنان چون نفس، شیطان و دنیا، فائق گردد و با داشتن داعیه گناه، در طاعت و بندگی مشغول شود و بر فرشتگان كه استعداد معصیت را ندارند افضلیت و برتری خویش را نسبت به جانشینی ثابت گرداند. ولی چون فطرت انسان آمیخته با گناه و لغزشات بود و هرآن بیم ارتكاب گناه میرفت خداوند متعال اسباب و عواملی برای مبارزه با گناهان را در اختیارش نهاد كه با استفاده از این عوامل و اسباب گناهان را خنثی كند و حق خلافت را بجا آورد و خویشتن را به مقام برتر كرامت انسانی و قرب خداوند برساند.
