الذات الشاعرة فيها ترفض الواقع وتسمو عليه بل وتتخذ من ذاكرة المكان الدرعي مؤنسها الوحيد، غير أنها مزيج بين عبق الصحراء وأحزان الذات لتصنع قالبا شعريا متميزا وأصيلا.
أنغام درعة" هي تجربة جديدة للشاعر بعد مرثيات لواعجه المبثوثة والمسترسلة قمرا يفيض بنوره وأحاسيسه؛
جاءت التجربة الجديدة متفردة، مكتملة النضج، واشية بجمال لغتها الخلاقة والإبداعية والفنية ، مهما توارت خلف اللغة والرمزية،
جاءت "أنغام درعة" ، وقد ألقت بأفيائها ورؤاها عميقة الدلالة، جيدة المعنى، أخاذة ورشيقة بجمال عباراتها الشعرية. ذات نفس شعوري موسيقى متنوعة الكلمات لتغدو منسجمة ومتآلفة تلقي بأطيافها على نفس القصيدة، مكتنزة بمعان ودلالات شعرية دافئة، سخية ، تجمع بين خواء نفسيته ومراثيه وذاكرته. وأحاسيسه الفياضة.
