بين يدي القارئ مقرر إنتاج الأغنام (2446) والذي يتناول الموضوعات المتعلقة بسلالات الأغنام عالمياً ومحلياً وكل ما يتعلق بها من صفات إنتاجية وتناسلية وطرق التحسين الوراثي وتغذية ونمو وصحة القطيع وإدارته، إن هذا المقرر يعد الطالب ويهيئه لإنشاء وإدارة مزرعة الأغنام حسب الأسس العلمية الحديثة مما يمكنه من الحصول على إنتاجية عالية بتكاليف إقتصادية.
يتكون هذا المقرر من خمس عشرة وحدة دراسية وهي: الوحدة الأولى: سلالات الأغنام في المنطقة وأنظمة إنتاج الأغنام، الوحدة الثانية: الصفات الإنتاجية في الأغنام وطرق الإنتخاب، الوحدة الثالثة: التزاوج الخليط (التهجين)، الوحدة الرابعة: التناسل في الأغنام وإستعمال الهرمونات، الوحدة الخامسة: خصوبة الكباش والتقنيات الحديثة، الوحدة السابعة: النمو ونوعية الذبيحة، الوحدة الثامنة: الإحتياجات الغذائية، الوحدة التاسعة: تغذية النعاج، الوحدة العاشرة: تغذية الحملان، فطامها وتسمينها، الوحدة الحادية عشرة: إنتاج الصوف، الوحدة الثانية عشرة: صحة القطيع، الوحدة الثالثة عشرة: التربية المكلفة للأغنام، الوحدة الرابعة عشرة: حظائر الأغنام ومستلزماتها، الوحدة الخامسة عشرة: التقويم السنوي للإدارة وتغذية القطيع وصحته حسب ظروف البيئة المحلية.
