The Author Book Ignorant Boy and the author of 18 another books.
فواز حداد كاتب سوري من مواليد دمشق، حائز على إجازه في الحقوق من جامعة دمشق. كتب القصة القصيرة و المسرح و الرواية، لكنه لم ينشر أياً منها حتى سنة 1991. شارك كمُحكِّم في مسابقة حنا مينه للرواية، ومسابقة المزرعة للرواية في السويداء. كذلك في الإعداد لموسوعة "رواية اسمها سورية".
تفرّغ للعمل الروائي كلياً في عام 1998 ,رُشِّح عن رواية المترجم الخائن لل الجائزة العالمية للرواية العربية "بوكر" القائمة القصيرة لعام 2009 ورُشِّحت روايته "جنود الله" لجائزة البوكر القائمة الطويلة لعام 2010، وترجمت إلى الألمانية تحت عنوان "سماء الله الدامية" عن دار نشر أوفباو. ورُشِّح أيضاً لجائزة روكرت الألمانية لعام 2013 عن الرواية نفسها.

"مثلاً، أنا وأنت قصة. بالطبع، لا أسألك أن تفكر فينا، فكر في القصة التي ستكتبها، انغمس فيها كلياً، عليك أن تؤمن بعمق بحقيقة ما، مهما كانت متطرفة أو غير معقولة، أو حتى خيالية وأن تعيد خلقها على أنها الحقيقة نفسها دونما أية ريبة أو تصنع أو زيف، ويجب أن تكون جذابة وممتعة، تذكر دائماً أن الحقيقة جذابة وممتعة وجسورة".
