"يا وديّ أنا بهواك من يوم الصغر... تذكّر معي أيام حلوه تنذكر...يوم الكنت إضحك وتضحكلي الدني... ما في براسي همّ ولا بعرف كدر... يوم الكنت اضحك وتضحكلي الدني... عندي النهار ساعة وكنهار السني... جيلك طلوع الشمس طاير ولدني... وما فارقك يا وديّ لطلوع القمر... ما فارقك ساعه ولا غيبك نهار... زايغ مزهزق بين جلّك والشوار... وياما دقت وقعات عاهاك الحجار... وكل وقعه تنتهي بقبلة حجر...
