Book Description
"النوافذة" مرثية ملحمية تمجد الماضي وتنعاه، فيه تمارس فوزية شويش السالم مغامراتها في أفق الكتابة التي تتحدى بشكل أو بآخر الأنواع التقليدية وإن كانت-في نهاية التحليل-تنتهي بشكل عام، إليها. وتتبدى النغمة المسيطرة على هذا العمل من أول كلمة في الإهداء إلى آخر كلمة في الختام. النص يُهدي إلى "أسطورة الخليج" النوافذة اللذين هم ربابنة وأصاب السفن الشراعية الكبيرة، التي كانت تمخر المحيط الهندي من الخليج إلى الهند شرقاً والى سواحل أفريقيا غرباً. الأسطورة كلمة مفتاحية، والعمل كله، إذ يحكي بأساليب وتقنيات شكلية متنوعة، قصة ماضي انقضى، ومن ثم بمجرد انقضائه، لا غير، ارتفع إلى سدة الأسطورة، تسرب فيه روح ملحمية توشك أن تكون راسخة البنية، ليس فيها ما هو مفاجئ للقارئ المتمرس الحصيف، تجري الأحداث كما لو كانت مسطورة من قبل لوح محفوظ، هي قصة ثلاثة أجيال متتابعة، من عصر الرق وخطف العبيد والإماء من غابات أفريقيا وبيعهم في أسواق النخاسة إلى عصر انبثاق البترول، لكنها هنا نخاسة، "شاعرية مموهة بعبارات "مذهبة" أي مجملة محلاة بعذوبة النوستالجيا وشجن أشواق الحلم بنوع من أنواع اليوطوبيا".
