بدءا من العنوان “النهر يشرب ذاته”، ومرورا ب 38 نصا شعريا، يتراوح في حيزه الفضائي بين صفحة واحدة وأربع صفحات، ووصولا إلى الفهرس، ترحل بنا الكتابة الشعرية عند أيوب كريم عبر أنفاق ملتوية نحو الشتات/التشتت بالمدلول الأدبي والفلسفي للكلمة. فكل ما تصادفه أعيننا من عناوين، ونصوص، وسطور، وكلمات يوحي بالشتات/التشتت Dissémination بما يعنيه هذا المفهوم من معاني الانفلات، والمحو، والالتباس، والفقدان، والغياب، والتمرد على القواعد المعهودة، والأعراف المألوفة.
المظهر الشذري للنصوص، والانزياح المتناسل في العناوين، وداخل النصوص، والزحف الملحوظ للبياض على السواد، وانشطار في مرايا المعادلات الموضوعية، والرمزية، والتلذذ بالجرح موضوعا للكتابة، والتأمل، وطقسا تطهيريا من دنس الواقع العنيد…كلها تمظهرات للشتات المنبثق من “تكاثر المعنى ،وانتشاره بطريقة يصعب ضبطها، والتحكم بها. هذا التكاثر المتناثر ليس شيئا يستطيع المرء إمساكه، والسيطرة عليه، وإنما يوحي باللعب الحرّ Free play الذي لا يتصف بقواعد تحدّ هذه الحرية، بل هو حركة مستمرة تبعث المتعة، وتثير عدم الاستقرار، والثبات، ويتسم بالزيادة المفرطة ”
