الكتاب مشتمل على حصص الوارثين من مال المتوفى، وعلى قواعد الحساب التي تعين كيفية حق كل وارث من التركة وفق مذهب أهل السنة وخاصة المذهب الحنفي، مدعوما بالأدلة من مصادر الشريعة، وهو مقرر للصف الثاني عشر من المدارس الشرعية بأفغانستان، روعي في تأليفه الأصالة والحداثة معاً، وذلك لأن محتوا الكتاب من المشروع والممنوع مأخوذ من كتب التراث من المذهب الحنفي، واقترن معه أحكام القانون المدني الأفغاني، وذُيِّل الدروس بالأنشطة لتحكيم الدروس، وجيئ في نهاية الدروس بالأسئلة وواجب المنزل، وجاء في آخر الكتاب التمارينُ الراجعةُ إلى محتوا الكتاب كله، بحيث لو أجاب عنها الطالب، قدر على حل مختلف صور المسائل من علم الميراث.
