"لم يكن سنهور نبيا... ولم يدعي يومًا أنه رسول.
كان فتى يشبه النيل حين يغضب، ونسمة الريح حين تمى على معبد مهجور.
ربيته صغيرًا بين دفاتر الحكمة، لا في أروقة الكهنة. لم يغيره التاج، ولا بهرته التماثيل، بل كانت عينه تتبع السؤال كما يتبع الظمآن سراب الحقيقة.
قالوا عنه كافر... وكنت أراه أول المؤمنين.
قالوا إنه يريد إسقاط الآلهة... ولم يفهموا أنه فقط أراد أن يعيد للإنسان صورته الأولى، قبل أن تنحتها الأصنام.
حين وقف على منصة المعبد، لم يخطب... بل سأل.
وحين حمل السيف، لم يغزو... بل دافع.
وحين أحب، لم يتملك... بل حرى.
أنا معلمه... لا لأني علمته، بل لأني كنت أول من صدقة.
وها أنا أروي حكايته...
لمن أراد أن يفهم لا أن يؤمن،
لمن اختار أن يسير خلف العقل لا الركوع،
ولمن أيقن أن الفكرة لا تموت... حتى لو مات صاحبها."
