كتاب المكون اليهودي في الحضارة الغربية تأليف سعد البازعي، يخوض الكاتب هذه الدراسة بعدما يناقش مبدأ ربط العلوم والمعارف ببيئة أو ثقافة محددة حيث الرؤية التي تؤكد عالمية العلوم والمعارف وعدم وجود هوية لها، والرؤية التي لا تغفل علاقة الفكر بالسياق الحضاري الذي نشأ فيه، وتؤكد تحيز العلم والمعرفة - مدرسة فرانكفورت الفلسفية .
بعد هذه المقدمة يتناول المؤلف في إطلالة تاريخية سريعة الحضور اليهودي في أوروبا، والاضطهاد الذي تعرضوا له، وظهور الجيتو اليهودي، حتى خلاص اليهود بعد الثورة الفرنسية وخروجهم من الجيتو.
كما يتناول مأزق الهوية اليهودي، من خلال نماذج متعددة يبرز بينها الفيلسوف مندلسون، الروائي فيليب روث وغيرهم.
كما يركز على أهم الفلاسفة والمفكرين اليهود في التاريخ الأوروبي بدءً بأسبينوزا وحتى دريدا.
