هذا الكتاب يكشف الغطاء عن العديد من الأخطاء و التناقضات في الديانة المسيحية.
يقول الكاتب في مقدمة كتابه:
"كتابي هذا كل من يقرؤه سيكفر بالكتاب المقدس، ولكني موقن أنه لن يغير شيئًا في مسيحية المسيحيين. فالمسيحي كما عرفته لا يكترث بكتابه لا يقرؤه ولا يعمل به، فحتى لو أُعلم بكل فظائعه فإنه سيبقى مسيحيًّا أو بالأحرى مؤمنًا بأنه مسيحي.
العامة لا تعلم إلا القليل من الكتاب المقدس، وهذا القليل نبذته، أما الكهنة فقد قرؤوه وعلموا ان ما فيه لا يقبل التقديس. ولكن الفريقين يدعيان المسيحية ويفخران بها ولا يعملان إلا بما يناقض كتابها!
وقد آلمتني حالة التكديس هذه لما كنت مسيحيًّا، ومازالت. فوجدتني أعمل على بسط مكدسات الكتاب المقدس، ولا أقول إني عملت على كشفها: لأني لم آتِ بمخطوطة كانت ضائعة في صعيد مصر أو مخبأة في خزائن الفاتيكان، بل جمعت بعض ما جاء في ترجمات هذا الكتاب المختلفة، وما يعلمه الكهنة للكهنة في كليات اللاهوت - ويتناسونه عندما يعظون رعاياهم.
وعلى الله توكلت وإليه انيب."
