التربية عمود الحضارات، منها تنشأ الحضارات، وبها تقوم، وعلى قدر متانتها يعتمد ارتفاعها، وبثباتها يطول عمرها.
ومنذ اللحظة الأولى التي التقى فيها جبريل بمحمد عليهما الصلاة والسلام في غار حراء تأسس هذا المعنى في أدبيات الدعوة الإسلامية، ولن يصلح آخر هذه الأمة إلا بما صلح به أولها.
ولم يفتأ فقهاء التربية الإسلامية ينقلون لنا علمهم وخبرتهم في هذا الباب من الفنون، فكانت الأمة في كل مرة تغفو يبعث الله فيها هؤلاء الجهابذة ليوقظوا وجدانها وليصححوا مسارها وليغرسوا فيها الفضائل وعاداتِ الخير.
وإني لأعتقد أننا نملك إرثاً تربوياً متين البنية شديد اللمعان، كالبيض اليمانية، لكنه بحاجة إلى التجديد، وحقيقة التجديد تكمن في إظهار القديم على حالته التي كان عليها وهو جديد، بتنقيته مما شابه وبتجليته للناس نقياً صافياً بعد أنْ دُرس وكاد يمحى.
