كانت المحاولة الأولى لوضعِ كتاب عربي إلكتروني حول المُدَوَّنَات قد قام بها مُدَوِّن مغربي هو محمد سعيد أحجيوج، حين أصدر الطبعة الالكترونية الأولى من كتابه (ألفباء التدوين)
وكتاب أحجيجوج, هو دراسة مُبسَّطة تهدف إلى تقريبِ ثقافة التدوين من مستخدمي الانترنت العرب, خاصة أنَّ الكتابّ لا يتجاوز عددُ صفحاته 23 صفحة.
ومن هنا تأتي أهمية كتاب (المدونات نافذة الحرية والإبداع- باعتباره رائدا في تناول ظاهرة التدوين، والمُدَوَّنَات العربية باعتبار أنَّ الكتابَ موجَّه بالأساس إلى قارئ العربية.
والكتابُ يهدف إلى تحقيق هدفين رئيسين. الأول: التعريف بالمُدَوَّنَات ودورها كوسيلة فريدة من وسائل الإعلام أفرزتها حضارة الإنترنت. والثاني: نشر ثقافة التدوين ودعوة الشباب العربي إلى التدوين, من خلال تعريفهم بخطوات إنشاء مُدَوَّنَة وإدارتها والترويج لها كنافذة لإبداء الرأي ونشر إبداعاتهم، من خلال وسيلة مجانية وسهلة هي التدوين. مع إلقاء الضوء على بعضِ المباحث الخاصة بالتدوين مثل: العلاقة بين المُدَوَّنَات والصحافة, وعلاقتها الجدليَّة بأربَابِ السُّلطَة العربية, وموقف الأنظِمَة العربية الحَاكِمَة من التدوين, والإطار القانوني للتدوين. والمسئولية القانونية بين المدون ومواقع التدوين.
