سيمون-إرنستين، لوسي ماري برتراند دي بوفوار، تدعى سيمون دي بوفوار (باريس, 9 كانون الثاني 1908 - 14 نيسان 1986) كاتبة ومفكرة فرنسية، وفيلسوفة وجودية، وناشطة سياسية، ونسوية إضافة إلى أنها منظرة اجتماعية. ورغم أنها لا تعتبر نفسها فيلسوفة إلا أن لها تأثير ملحوظ في النسوية والوجودية النسوية. كتبت دي بوفوار العديد من الروايات والمقالات والسير الذاتية ودراسات حول الفلسفة والسياسة وأيضاً عن القضايا الاجتماعية. اشتهرت سيمون دي بوفوار برواياتها -والتي من ضمنها "المدعوة" و"المثقفون" كما اشتهرت كذلك بكتابها "الجنس الآخر" والذي كان عبارة عن تحليل مفصل حول اضطهاد المرأة وبمثابة نص تأسيسي للنسوية المعاصرة.

رواية المدعوة تأليف سيمون دى بوفوار، بين يدك الآن الرواية الأولى التي كتبتها الكاتبة الفرنسية سيمون دوبوفوار والتى تم نشرها عام 1943 تعبيراً عن نقمتها وتذمرها. من إحدى تلميذاتها التي كادت وقتها أن تدمر علاقتها مع الفيلسوف الفرنسي جان بول سارتر. تعتبر هذا الرواية من أغرب وأقوى روايات السيرة الذاتية في القرن العشرين، التي كشفت فيها المؤلفة عن مواهبها الأدبية وأسلوبها الأنيق والساخر.
