يأتي هذا الكتاب محاولةً فكريةً ومعرفيةً لتسليط الضوء على الفوارق الأساسية بين المثقف والمتعلّم، وبيان أن امتلاك الشهادة العلمية أو تحصيل المعلومات لا يعني بالضرورة بلوغ مرتبة الثقافة والوعي والنضج الفكري والسلوكي.
فالتعليم يفتح أبواب المعرفة، لكن الثقافة تمنح المعرفة معناها الأعمق، وتربطها بالوعي والمسؤولية والأخلاق والسلوك. وليس الهدف من المعرفة أن تتراكم في الذهن فحسب، بل أن تتحول إلى بصيرةٍ في التفكير، وحكمةٍ في الموقف، ومسؤوليةٍ في التعامل مع الإنسان والمجتمع.
ويتناول الكتاب جملةً من القضايا المرتبطة بمصادر المعرفة، وبناء الوعي، والعلاقة بين العلم والثقافة، وأثر التفكير والتحليل والتمييز في صناعة شخصية الإنسان، مؤكدًا أن المجتمع لا يحتاج إلى كثرة المتعلمين وحدها، بل يحتاج أيضًا إلى عقول واعية، وشخصيات ناضجة، وأفرادٍ قادرين على توظيف ما يمتلكونه من علمٍ ومعرفة في خدمة الإنسان والحياة.
إن هذا الإصدار دعوةٌ إلى مراجعة علاقتنا بالعلم والثقافة، وإلى تجاوز الاكتفاء بالمعلومات والشهادات نحو فهمٍ أعمق، ووعيٍ أوسع، وسلوكٍ أكثر مسؤولية.
وآمل أن يكون هذا الكتاب إضافةً نافعةً للمكتبة الفكرية والثقافية، وأن يفتح بابًا للحوار والتأمل حول دور المثقف والمتعلّم في بناء المجتمع والنهوض بواقعه.
