ويؤكد المؤلف أن الأكراد لم يكونواعلى الدوام وحلال المراحل المتعاقبة من تطورهم يرزخون تحت نير سلطة الشعوب الأخرى ويخضعون لمشيئتهم وسلطانهم بل أقاموا العديد من الإمبرطوريات التي امتدت على رقع جغرافية واسعة شملت العراق وبلاد الشام وفلسطين وحتى مصر واليمن احياناً بالإضافة إلى بلادهم كردستان، كذلك أقاموا الكثير من الدول والإمارات في بلادهم وانتصروا في الكثير من الحروب والمعارك الكبيرة في التاريخ وخضغت لهم شعوب وانهارت أمام زحف جيوشهم إمبراطوريات.
إن أهمية هذا الكتاب لا تكمن فقط في منهجيته وأسلوبه العلميين والثقافة التاريخية الواسعة التي يمتلكها المؤلف وموضوعيته، بل كذلك إلى كون المؤلف نفسه ليس من أبناء الشعب الكردي، فهو أرمني، رأى أن من واجبه الانساني إنصاف هذا الشعب والدفاع عن أصالته التاريخية.
