صالح مرسي من مواليد مدينة كفرالزيات بمحافظة الغربية (17 فبراير 1929 - 24 أغسطس 1996 كان كاتباً وروائياً مصريا له العديد من الأعمال المتميزة، وهو أشهر من كتب في أدب الجاسوسية العربية.
قام في الثمانينات من القرن العشرين بكتابة قصة رأفت الهجان.
كان يعمل مع جهاز المخابرات العامة المصرية فيما يخص الروايات الخاصة بالجهاز، ويعتبر من المدنيين الذين عملوا مع المخابرات المصرية.
توفي يوم 24 أغسطس عام 1996 في الساحل الشمالي على إثر هبوط حاد في الدورة الدموية.
بعض من أعماله: دموع في عيون وقحة رواية من ملفات المخابرات المصرية.

هذا الكتاب تجربة من واقع الحياة، أرادها المؤلف أن تكون كذلك، قرر أن يعيش أحداثها بكل حواسه وجوانبه، لينقل لنا –بصدق- وصفاً طبيعياً لحي من الأحياء الشعبية، بسكانه وعماله.
وتصبح المغامرة جزءاً من كيانه، وتصبح الكذبة واقعاً لا يريد له نهاية، يرفض الإستمرار في الكذب. لكن كلمات الصدق ترفض إعلان داتها، تنقسم شخصية المؤلف، فهو كاتب بطبيعته، وجرسون تسلل على أهل الحي البسطاء، أحبوه بصدق وعفوية، بدون زيف أو غش، فأثمرت محبتهم بذور مشاعر صافية.
ولأول مرة يعيش الحب الصادق أكذوبته، يحاول الإعتراف فتخونه، يصرخ من أعماقه "أنا كداب" لكن محبوسأ في داخله.
وإحساس قوي ينتابه بأنه إرتكب جرمأ في حقهم يود لو أعلن لهم الحقيقة وأنه "كذاب" فلم يقدر وتظل الصيحة في أعماقه مدوية أنا كذاب.
