يذكر الكتاب تفاصيل قرية الشيخ حديد البشته كما ويشير الى تاريخ وجغرافية عشيرة السادة الصميدع الموسوية الحسينية العلوية والأب الأعلى لهذه الأسرة وهو السيد عبدالرحيم الملقب بالصميدع وهو من ولد الإمام محمد شمس الدين عجان الحديد دفين بلدة حديثة الفرات والملقب بالشيخ حديد وابو مكلد وافخاذ الأسرة الرئيسية الخمسة وهم البوجاسم والبو هاشم والبو صالح والبو ظاهر والبو علي وما تفرع منها.
كما ويذكر الكتاب أغلب البيوت المنتسبة زوراً الى نسب عشيرة الصميدع.
