قصة حكاية "الرحيق الأخير" تتكلم عن مدينة طنجة في بداية القرن العشرين و بالتحديد سنة 1906، حكاية استحضار لماضي المدينة بخصوصياتها الثقافية والجغرافية والإنسانية... حكاية تتحدث عن مدينة جذابة ومفككة وسلطة محلية ضعيفة وعن صراعات قبلية وأمنية وتجارية. في هذا السياق يتم قتل رجل فرنسي كان يبحث هو وزوجته عن ربح المال بطريقة غريبة (البحث عن من يعتدي عليه كأجنبي ليتم تعويضه ماديا). قتل هذا الأجنبي سيؤجج الصراع والضغوط، كما سيتم أيضا فرض إقامة تمثال لهذا الضحية الفرنسية، قرار يلقى مقاومة من طرف أهل المدينة وأيضا تفهما وتضامنا من جانب الفنان الذي سيقوم بنحت التمثال.
