كتاب الخلاصة اللاهوتية تأليف توما الإكويني، ويتكون من 4 أجزاء، والجزء الذي بين أيدينا هو الجزء الثاني. ويقع في 620 صفحة، والكتاب بأجزائه مقسم إلى مباحث، وهذا الجزء يبدأ بالمبحث الخمسين، وينتهي عند المبحث 104
وقد تناول المؤلف توما الأكويني خلال مباحث هذا الجزء عدة موضوعات، أبرزها: رسالة قداسة البابا لاون الثالث، ورسالة نيافة الكردينال يوحنا سيميوني رئيس مجمع انتشار الإيمان المقدس، وباب في الملائكة، فيه عدة مباحث، مثل: كمال الملائكة في وجود النعمة، علم الملائكة بالنظر إلى المجردات وبالنظر إلى الماديات، وطريقة المعرفة الملكية، وخلق الملائكة، وسعادة الملائكة، ووجود شر الذنب في الملائكة، وفي عقاب الشياطين، وفي أن الكتاب المقدس يستعمل ألفاظًا ملائمة لايضاح أعمال الأيام الستة، وفي أن الإنسان المركب من جوهر روحاني وجسماني أولًا في ما يتعلق بماهية النفس، وفي ما يتعلق بقوى النفس بالإجمال، وفي أن القوى النفسانية بأسرها هل هي موجودة في النفس وجود الشيء في المحل، وفي القوى العقلية، وفي الإرادة، وفي الاختيار، وفي حكم العقل، وغير ذلك من المحاور الهامة.
