قال رسول الله ﷺ : من سلك طريقًا يلتمس فيه علمًا سهل اللهُ له به طريقًا من إلى الجنةِ ، وإنَّ الملائكةَ لتضعُ أجنحتَها لطالبِ العِلمِ رضًا بما يصنع ، وإنَّ طالب العالِمَ ليستغفرُ له من في السماواتِ ومن في الأرضِ ، والحيتانُ في جوفِ الماءِ ، وإنَّ فضلَ العالمِ على العابدِ كفضلِ القمرِ ليلةَ البدرِ على سائرِ الكواكبِ ، وإنَّ العلماءَ ورثةُ الأنبياءِ ، وإنَّ الأنبياءَ لم يُورِّثُوا دينارًا ولا درهمًا وإنما ورَّثُوا العِلمَ فمن أخذَه أخذ بحظٍّ وافرٍ

هذا الكتاب مناسب لهذه الفئات الثلاث الأتيه :
1- لمن يريد أن يكون عبداً شكوراً
إذ أن الثناء على الله عز وجل هو شكر لله
2 - لائمه المساجد في صلاه التراويح قبل البدء في الدعاء
وهذا هو سبب تأليفي للكتاب
3- لمن له ورد دعاء يوم الأربعاء بين الظهر والعصر أو في الثلث الأخير من الليل أو في الساعه الأخيره من يوم الجمعه
ف هذا الكتاب من خير ما يستفتح به العبد ورده قبل بدءه الدعـاء
لقول رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : " إذا صلَّى أحدُكُمْ (( فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِتَحْمِيدِ اللهِ والثَّناءِ عليهِ )) ثُمَّ لَيُصَلِّ على النبيِّ صلَّى اللهُ عليهِ وسلَّمَ ثُمَّ لَيَدْعُ بَعْدُ بِما شاءَ "
4- لعموم المسلمين يوم عرفه .. قبل بدءهم في الدعـاء
