تكمن أهمية هذه الدراسة في أنها تبصر معلمي اللغة العربية باستراتيجية التعلم التعاوني، وتؤكد دورها في تنمية القدرات النقدية والإبداعية لدى الطلبة في الأردن، حيث يتم عن طريقها التفاعل بين الطلبة بشكل تعاوني إيجابي، والتركيز على الاهتمام بهم من النواحي التربوية والعقلية والاجتماعية والنفسية.
كما أن إجراء دراسة كهذه من شأنه أن يفيد معلمي اللغة العربية في المراحل التعليمية الأساسية خاصة، وباقي المراحل التعليمية الأخرى في مساعدتهم على معالجة الضعف القرائي عند الطلاب، وذلك بتجريب طرائق تعليمية جديدة.
ومن المنتظر أن تسهم هذه الدراسة في دفع المعلمين نحو مزيد من الاهتمام بتنمية القدرات العقلية العليا، باعتبارها إحدة مخرجات تعليم اللغة، كما يتوقع أن تسهم في فتح آفاق جديدة في ميدان اللغة، ومساعدة القائمين على برامج تدريب معلمي اللغة العربية في تطوير هذه البرامج وطرائق التدريس من جهة، وعلى التربية اللغوية من جهة والتنمية الفكرية من جهة أخرى.
وما تسعى إليه هذه الدراسة هو الإجابة عن الأسئلة التالية: هل هناك فروقات ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى لاستخدام التعلم التعاوني والجنس والتفاعل بينهما في تنمية مهارات القراءة الناقدة؟ هل هناك فروقات ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى لاستخدام استراتيجية التعلم التعاوني والجنس والتفاعل بينهما في تنمية مهارات القراءة الإبداعية؟ هل هناك فروقات ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى لاستخدام استراتيجية التعلم التعاوني والجنس والتفاعل بينهما في تنيمة اتجاهات الطلبة نحو القراءة الناقدة؟ هل هناك فروقات ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى لاستخدام استراتيجية التعلم التعاوني والجنس والتفاعل بينهما في تنمية اتجتهات الطلبة نحو القراءة الإبداعية؟
