أبو عبد الله محمد بن إسماعيل البخاري. أحد كبار الحفّاظ الفقهاء من أهم علماء الحديث وعلوم الرجال والجرح والتعديل والعلل عند أهل السنة والجماعة، له مصنّفات كثيرة أبرزها كتاب الجامع الصحيح، المشهور باسم صحيح البخاري، الذي يعد أوثق الكتب الستة الصحاح.
ومن علامات النبوغ المُبكّر، حيث رزقه الله تعالى ذاكرة حديدية نادرة، وألهمه حفظ الأحاديث النبوية الشريفة، فلزم مجالس المُحدّثين، وأخذ عنهم كل ما فى جعبتهم، و كان يحفظ من الأحاديث الشريفة فى أيام ما يستغرق غيره فى حفظه شهورا وسنوات، ولا يكتب عند شيوخه، بل يسمع منهم مرة واحدة، فيحفظ ما سمعه فورا عن ظهر قلب، و يكتب رفاقه، ثم يُراجعون و يُصحّحون ما كتبوا على ما حفظ البخارى.
