كتاب أفلاطون والمرأة تأليف أ.د.إمام عبد الفتاح إمام الكتاب يناقش رأي أفلاطون عن المرأة، ويتبنى وجهة النظر القائلة بأن أفلاطون لم يكن مهتماً بشأن المرأة مطلقاً، بل كان خطه ثابتاً في احتقارها متبعاً بذلك الثقافة اليونانية السائدة، وأن مقترحاته التي أسيء فهمها كانتصار للمرأة لم تَعْدُ في حقيقتها محاولة لإلغاء المرأة تماماً واعتبارها رجل، والدافع لذلك هو مصلحة الرجل (بإقامة مجتمع ذكوري فاضل) لا التعاطف مع المرأة. وفي سبيل مناقشة هذه الأفكار، يتعرض الكتاب بشيء من التفصيل إلى الحياة الاجتماعية في أثينا وأسبرطة ومكانة المرأة فيهما، وتأثيرهما على أفكار أفلاطون.
