بیان اصول و قواعد ذكر اسماء و صفات الهی است. نویسنده در آغاز، ضمن اشاره به اهمیت و شأن اسماء الله، به اشتباهات رایج مسلمانان در مباحثات پیرامون این اسامی اشاره كرده و آن را ناشی از جهل و تعصب آنان میداند. لذا، برای هدایت آنان و روشنگری در این زمینه، اصول و قواعدی را برای ذكر نامها و صفتهای باریتعالی به رشته تحریر درآورده است. وی در فصل نخست كتاب، هفت اصل قاعده مهم را معرفی میكند كه میباید آنها را هنگام بر زبان آوردن نامهای مبارك پروردگار به یاد داشت و رعایت كرد. در ادامه، هفت قاعده دیگر را درباره صفات الهی معرفی و دلایل هریك را ذكر میكند. در فصل بعد، به پانزده شبهه و سئوال درباره اسماء الله پاسخ میدهد. فصل پایانی كتاب، به حُكم اهل تأویل و نحوه برخورد با آنان میپردازد.
