كتاب اسم الله الاعظم - عبدالله بن عمرالدميجي من مقضتيات الإيمان الوقوف على ما انفردت به بعض هذه الاسماء والصفات من خصائص وتميزت به من مميزات. وقد وردت بعض النصوص النبوية فيها الإشارة إلى الاسم الأعظم لله تبارك وتعالي، وذكر بعض خصائصه، ومواطن وجوده، إلا أن هذه النصوص تختلف من حيث الثبوت قوة وضعفاً، ومن حيث الدلالة والبيان تصريحاً وتلمحياً، اختلافا أدى إلى اختلاف مفاهيم العلماء في تحديد هذا الاسم، حتى أوصله بعضهم إلى ستين قولا. ولقد اتخذت طوائف من المبتدعة الذين في قلوبهم زيغ ما تشابه من هذه النصوص مطية ذلولاً، ومنفذاً وسهلاً، يلجونه إلى عقول البسطاء من الناس، فيزعمون ان فلاناً –الولي- فد أعطى سر الأسم الأعظم. فلا يدعو لأحد إلا ويجاب، ولا يسأل إلا ويعطى، وينقاد له بذلك السر كل ما في السموات وما في الأرض! وقد يحلقونه هذه الخاصية حتة بعد وفاته وانقطاعه عن الحياة. ولم يتحقق هذا لأنبياء الله تعالى ورسله الذين هم صفوة خلقه وأكرمهم عليه تعالى، فكيف يدعيها أو تدعى لأمثال هؤلاء! وماذاك إلا لصرف الناس عن التعلق بالله تعالى والالتجاء إليه وحده ليتعلقوا بهذه الأصنام البشرية. وترتب على ذلك أن صرفت لهم من العبادات القلبية والقولية والعملية مالايليق بالله تعالى. وفتحوا الباب للسحر والمشعوذين في ادعائهم معرفة .هذا السر المكنون. وكان أسهل وسيلة لانخداع البسطاء من الناس بألاعيبهم
