لقد كانَ كلُّ شيءٍ عُتُلًّا على صدرها
حتَّى جاءت ليلةٌ ظلماء لا قمرَ فيها
قامت من نومٍ عميقٍ يحتلُّه كابوس
رأت أنَّها مُستلقية
في نفسِ المكانِ الذي تستلقي به في الواقع
ممَّا جعلها تتخيَّلُه حقيقةً
تقاومُ لتنهضَ ولا تستطيعُ الحَرَاك
المكانُ مظلمٌ
تحدِّق في الفَراغ
محملقةً في السَّقف
لا تستطيعُ الصُّراخ حتّى! مجرَّدُ صرخاتٍ مكتومة!
تتعرَّق جبهتها
تحتقن الدِّماءُ في وجهها
إلى أن تسمع صوتًا عميقًا تشوبهُ نبرةٌ نبيلةٌ مهيبةٌ
أخذَ يقول: "أما آنَ لهذه النّفسِ أن تعودَ إلى ربِّها راضيةً مرضيَّة!"
ويتردَّدُ الصّوت، ثمَّ يضمحلُّ شيئاً فشيئاً حتّى يتلاشى
