التعقّل هو المميزة الأساسية للإنسان، والإنتفاع من إشراقات العقل، يمثل الضمانة لنشق طريق الحياة المحفوف بالظلمات والمخاطر، والإسلام بدوره إنما يشيد البنية الأصلية لنظافة الفكر على أساس التعقل الذي يزين البشر، وكلا الأمرين يحفّز الباحثين الدينيين على تلقّي النتاجات الفكرية بصدرٍ رحب بغية تنظيم البحوث الإستدلالية.
إن ولاية الفقيه بما تمثِّله من دعامة أساسية للنظام السياسي في الإسلام، ومركز الثقل في الحكومة الدينية بوسعها أن تتحول إلى موضوع مناسب، يدخل بوتقة النقد والتداول، وتغدو مثاراً للتساؤلات بل والشبهات أحياناً.
وفي مثل هذه الأجواء من الطبيعي أن تتحول الأسئلة والإستفسارات إلى قناعات خاطئة، ومن ثم تؤول إلى وقوع إنحراف، يطال العقائد الدينية إن هي لم تعثر على الإجابة الناجعة.
