سرگذشت و شرح حال حدود صد نفر از افراد نومسلمان و بیان انگیزهها و عواملی است كه آنان را به سوی حق و حقیقتِ دین اسلام رهنمون شد. نویسنده، سرگذشت این افراد را كه بعضاً دارای مشاغل و مرتبههای بالای اجتماعی و سیاسی بوده اند، به طور خلاصه بیان میكند؛ اما در برخی موارد شرح حال برخی از این افراد و از جمله بارزترین آنها ،یوسف اسلام، ستاره آهنگهای غربی در دهه شصت، و یوسف استس، كشیش آمریكایی، با جزئیات بیشتری ارائه شده است. وی امیدوار است كه شرح احوال شگفتانگیز این رهیافتگان، مایه بیداری آن دسته از جوانانی شود كه رسیدن به امیال و آرزوهای خود را در پیروی از مادیات و بیتوجهی به معنویات میبینند. او در آغاز كتاب به دلایل گرایش روز افزون جهانیان به اسلام و اعتقادات پاك اسلامی پرداخته و سپس به تفكیكِ حرفه و شغل سرگذشت هدایت ورزشكاران، دانشمندان، سیاستمداران، خوانندگان و موسیقدانان و كشیشان راهبان را به سوی آیین نجاتبخش اسلام شرح میدهد.
