أبو السعود العمادي (898 - 982هـ).
محمد بن محمد بن مصطفى العمادي، المُفْتي والمُفسِّر. ولد في إحدى ضواحي القسطنطينية في بيت علم وفضل، تلقى العلوم على يد نخبة من علماء عصره، ومنهم والده، حتى اشتهر أمره، وذاع صيته لعلمه وفضله.
اشتغل بالتدريس، وتولى قضاء القسطنطينية وغيرها من المدن، وتولى بعد ذلك الإفتاء ومكث فيه ثلاثين سنة، وقام بأمره خير قيام. وكان يجيب عن الأسئلة التي توجَّه إليه بنفس الأسلوب واللغة التي توجَّه بها، مما يدل على سعة علمه وقدرته الفائقة. وضع أبو السعود كتابًا في التفسير سماه إرشاد العقل السليم إلى مزايا الكتاب الكريم، وهو في تسعة أجزاء، كشف فيه عن مزايا القرآن اللغوية والعقلية.
ومن كتبه تحفة الطلاب، في المناظرة؛ قصة هاروت وماروت.
توفي أبو السعود، ودفن إلى جوار قبر الصحابي الجليل أبي أيوب الأنصاري قرب أسوار القسطنطينية.
