كتاب أدب الوزير تأليف أبو الحسن الماوردي، وهذا الكتاب من أبرز وأشهر المؤلفات وأكثرها رواجًا بين المسلمين للماوردي، الذي اشتهر بكتاباته في السياسة. ويشتمل هذا الكتاب على 8 فصول.
وهو في الواقع عبارة عن فصول رائعة في آداب الوزارة ورسومها وأحكامها وما للوزير وما عليه نحو سلطانه وبلاده ونفسه، وسوف يجد القارئ أن هذا الطرف متماشٍ في أسلوبه الرائع ومباحثه الجليلة وفق الخطة التي سار عليها في كتابه الشهير الأحكام السلطانية، فالرسالة إذن تتمة مباحث هذا الإمام الجليل في فن السياسة وتدبير الملك، وكلا الكتابين مرأة صادقة لتفكير العالم الإسلامي في هذا الفن الجليل.
الفصل الأول في التنفيذ، والفصل الثاني في الدافع عن الملك والمملكة ومهام الوزير، والفصل الثالث عن الإقدام، والفصل الرابع من الكتاب عن الحذر، من الله ومن السلطان، وحقوق السلطان وحقوق الوزير، والحذر من الزمان أيضًا.
والفصل الخامس عن التقليد والعزل، وأنواعه وأسبابه، والفصل السادس عن قوانين وزارة التنفيذ، وهنا يحدثنا عن الرأي والمشورة وعناية الوزير بالملك، وحرص الوزير على مصالح الملك، والفصل السابع يخصصه للحديث عن الحقوق، والفصل الثامن عن العهود، وهنا يتناول طاعة الله وطاعة السلطان وأولي الأمر.
