ومن وقائع الندوة تحدث أ.د. حسان العاني من النظام الإنتخابي في فرنسا موضحاً طريقة اختيار رئيس الجمهورية، وأعضاء البرلمان .. بينما تحدث أ.د. نظام بركات عن النظام الإنتخابي الألماني موضحاً أنه يعتمد النظام المختلط الذي يجمع بين القائمة النسبية والترشيح الفردي ... وتحدثت أيضاً الدكتورة نغم نذير شكر عن النظام الإنتخابي في اليابان مبيّنة أن القانون الياباني قد حدد الدوائر الإنتخابية فجعلها (130) دائرة لمجلس النواب .. أما مجلس الشيوخ فجعل انتخاب مائة من أعضائه بواسطة الناخبين في سائر أنحاء اليابان ... ثم تحدث أ.د. ستار الدليمي عن النظام الإنتخابي في الهند وباكستان مبيّناً أن الدستور أقام نظاماً برلمانياً للحكومة، وهو فيدرالي في هيكله ... كما تحدثت الباحثة خلود خميس عن التجربة الإنتخابية الأثيوبية الثالثة بعد التحول نحو الديمقراطية مبيّنة طبيعة الإنتخابات الأثيوبية التي تتم عن طريق الإنتخاب المباشر.
