ومن هنا، يبدو طرف من أهمية الكتاب، لأنه يقدِّم لطلبة العلم نصائح وتجارب وخبرات تصدر عن عالم ذي رسوخ وتمكُّن، فيبيِّن ما ينبغي أن يكون عليه طالب العلم من أخلاق وصفات ومناهج، ويقيناً ستبقى كلماته تضيء طريق أهل العلم، لأنه يُسجِّل خواطره ونصائحه التي تنبع من واقعٍ سالفٍ كانوا يعيشونه، بيدَ أنه وثيق الإتصال بما نحن عليه اليوم.
