حين ضاقت بي الأرض، وسكنني وجع حبها، لم أجد ملاذًا سوى باب أمها، كأنني أبحث عن حضنٍ قديم، عن عزاءٍ لا أدري إن كان سيشفيني أم يزيدني وجعًا. دخلت عليها كمن أنهكته الطرقات، يشكو تعبه كما يشكو المسافر غربة الطريق، لا يحمل سوى قلبٍ مثقل وكلماتٍ مرتعشة، خرجت مني وكأنها كانت تنتظر هذه اللحظة منذ دهرٍ بعيد.
كان ذلك قبل لقائي بها، يومٌ لا يُنسـى، حين لم يكن لي من القوة إلا صدق الشعور، ولا من سلاح إلا اعترافٌ يتيم.
