Çünkü burada büyük bir ihtilaf ve vahim bir münakaşa başladı.Japon fikir adamlarından birkaç aydın, İslâm dînine girmek ve îmânla müşerref olmak istediklerini Tokyo’daki müslüman cemiyetine bildirdiler.Hindistanlı müslüman bir grup: Kendilerinin, ümmetin kandili olan Ebu Hanife’nin mezhebini seçmeleri , Endonezyalı bir grup ise Şâfiî mezhebini seçmeleri gerektiğini söylediler. Japonlar, onların bu sözlerini işittiklerinde bu tutumlarına şaşırıp hayret ettiler.Mezhep meselesi onların müslüman olmalarının yolunu tıkadı. İşte bu risâle, bu konuya bir cevap niteliğindedir.
