يقع الكتاب في مقدمة وتمهيد وثلاثة فصول وخاتمة، عالج التمهيد فكر الثورة العربية الكبرى وأهدافها، فضلاً عن مبادئها التي قامت عليها، وانبعاثاتها في الحياة المعاصرة، إذ لا يمكن دراسة حركة الشعر المعاصر في الأردن دراسة فنية وموضوعية دون الحديث عن الثورة العربية الكبرى بوصفها نصاً مؤسساً للإبداع المعاصر في كافة مجالاته.
جاء الفصل الأوّل للحديث عن الحركة الشعريّة في الأردن (1921 ـ 1946م) الجذور والامتداد؛ لبيان الجذور الفكرية العميقة التي تأسست عليها الحركة الشعريّة في الأردن.
أمّا الفصل الثاني فجاء دراسة لأثر الثورة العربية الكبرى في مضامين القصيدة الشعريّة المعاصرة، وما أمدّت به الشعراء من رؤى فكريّة لا تقوم على النظرية بل يرافقها التطبيق، إذ إنّ استعادة أسباب قيام الثورة العربية الكبرى يكشف عن معناها الحقيقي وجوهرها القومي، ومحتواها الوطني العميق، وتجلياتها في مواكب الثائرين الخالدين.
أمّا الفصل الثالث، فجاء دراسة فنيّة لأثر الثورة العربية الكبرى في القصائد الشعريّة التي استلهمت إرثها الخالد، إذ إنّ أهمية هذا الشعر تجاوزت أثر الثورة العربية الكبرى المباشر في المضامين الشعريّة إلى أثر غير مباشر يتصل بالرؤى والأخيلة واللغة التي لازمت الشعراء في الأردن، وهم يستندون إلى إرث حضاري وفكر تنويري ينتشي بمنجز عظيم تحتاجه الأمة للخروج من أزمتها المعاصرة.
وجاءت الخاتمة إجمالاً لأهم النتائج التي تمّ التوصّل إليها، أتبعتها بثبت لمصادر الكتاب ومراجعه التي اتّكأ عليها.
