The Publisher and the author
Book One Thousand and One nights in canada .
My name is Amine YACOUBI, I don't like to talk too much about myself because I prefer to express myself with poetry. On my Facebook account you can find all my poems :

1) I hold a master in corporate law from Tunis University Al Manar.
2) I am awarded a doctorate of excellence in mathematics from Kennedy University for my 7 books written about explaining religious text through mathematics, physics and psychology to rise phylosopical inquiries.
In 2015 my mother passed away. You all know the loss of a mother is the biggest emotional event that a man can go through, especially if that mother also represents a true friend in a time when friendship is rare.
I used to write poetry when I was a kid and published them in tunisian newspapers but I never became a full time poet. All my poems were in Arabic because I loved Arabic literature. After the departure of my mother and the unexpected life I lived in Canada as an immigrant, I felt the time had arrived to refind my genuine “me” that was almost lost in Canada. That event triggered waves in my emotional ocean and led me to write books and poetry again.
The journey in this country was full of experience and knowledge. I wrote seven free books studying the Quran and the Messenger traditions through mathematics and physics. This led to obtaining an honorary doctor of excellence in mathematics from Kennedy University.
This poems collection can be a guide for new immigrants to Canada that speaks only the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. We lived through treason, hate of Muslims, identity issues, discrimination and job marginalization, politics, philosophy and religion and more. All those sides, I tried to fuse them in my own way.
Every poem is a short personal effort movie. I wrote the poem, looked for videos on YouTube that match the subject and music that completes the whole picture. I recite the poem with my voice without falsification or faking the sentiment. Many poems in this collection are attached to a link of their videos on my Facebook account and Instagram. The language is balanced from easy inspiring to a little bit complex with vocabulary explanation in the bottom margin. This collection is free for humans.
I read some books on modern and contemporary poetry in Arabic and English like “Contemporary Poetry_Edinburgh Critical Guides to Literature” by Williams, “Nerys or The triggering town : lectures and essays on poetry and writing” by Richard Hugo. I read some of Shakespeare, I read many ancient Arabic poets like Abou Tayyib Al-Mutanabbi, Al-Farazdaq, Zuhayr Ibn Abî Salmâ; some of modern poets like Abou el Kacem Chebbi, Nizar Kabbani, Mahmoud Darwich and the list is limitless. In the end, these poems are not imitation but the way to innovation. Here is the fruit of the experience from 2015 until 2026.
Before I let you enjoy the videos, I would like to say that poetry is not words said without responsibility. As a muslim, I believe an adhere to the verse 18 of surah Qaf that says : “not a word does a person utter without having a ˹vigilant˺ observer ready ˹to write it down” “مَا يَلْفِظُ مِنْ قَوْلٍ إِلَّا لَدَيْهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيدٌ”.
