Het verhaal van Qaaroen (Korah) gaat over een man uit het volk van Musa die extreem rijk was, maar hoogmoedig en ondankbaar werd. Hij dacht dat zijn rijkdom uit eigen verdienste kwam. Allah waarschuwde hem, maar hij luisterde niet. Uiteindelijk liet Allah de aarde hem en zijn rijkdom verzwelgen. Het verhaal leert nederigheid en het erkennen van Allah’s zegeningen.
