أكتب لك بعد أربع ساعات من زمن المكالمة. الساعة الآن الثالثة صباحا. أستعيد صوتك اثناء المكالمة بتعب يشبه السعادة، سعادة غامرة - هشة تذوب في الفم بسهولة ويسر- مصحوبة بيأس مطلق مفاده أنني هنا وأنت هناك دون أن تعني تلك الحقيقة شيئا آخر وراءها، حقيقة لا هي عادلة ولا هي ظالمة. أعددت نفسي للمكالمة قبل شهرين، وعندما جاء صوتك علي التليفون تعثرت في فمي الكلمات ، وظهر في الحال العداء أكتب لك بعد أربع ساعات من زمن المكالمة. الساعة الآن الثالثة صباحا. أستعيد صوتك اثناء المكالمة بتعب يشبه السعادة، سعادة غامرة - هشة تذوب في الفم بسهولة ويسر- مصحوبة بيأس مطلق مفاده أنني هنا وأنت هناك دون أن تعني تلك الحقيقة شيئا آخر وراءها، حقيقة لا هي عادلة ولا هي ظالمة. أعددت نفسي للمكالمة قبل شهرين، وعندما جاء صوتك علي التليفون تعثرت في فمي الكلمات ، وظهر في الحال العداء بين الوقت والرغبة. تخيلت أن إهدار زمن المكالمة في صمت هادىء -يتخلل بدعة مسافات بين الكلمات كما كان يحدث بيننا في زمن اخر- سينفي ضيق الوقت. وبينما كانت الرغبة في اتساع دائم كان الوقت في ضيق مستمر.
