مروان دجاني الفلسطيني الجنسية وُلد في القدس، وفي هذا الكتاب يعود إلى ذكرياته عن وطنه فلسطين ومن ثم إلى حياته في لبنان.

كشفت له مشاركته في الانتفاضة الفلسطينية الضعف والقصور لدى قادة الانتفاضة وكذلك لدى القادة العرب. فالتحرير برأي مروان بحاجة إلى عناصر أساسية مفقودة، فالتعليم هو أساس التقدم إلى جانب الإيمان بالوطن وحب ترابه. وتنشيط ذاكرة الأجيال الصاعدة إلى جانب تعليمهم لا شك سيقودهم إلى العودة.

ورغم كل الهزائم التي أصابت مسيرة تحرير فلسطين والوطن العربي، فإن مروان لا يزال متفائلاً بأن الأوضاع ستتغير، وسيأتي اليوم عندما تستعيد الشعوب كرامتها في أوطانها وسينتصر الزعماء الحقيقيين الصادقين.

Marwan Dajani a Palestinian born in Jerusalem, relates in this book his memories of his original country Palestine, and then remembers his life in Lebanon.

His involvement in the Palestinian uprising revealed to him the weakness and shortcomings of not only the uprising leaders but also most of the Arab leaders. Liberation, as far as Marwan is concerned, needs basic elements that are missing, education is the basis of any achievement side by side to the belief in one’s country and loving its soil. Active memory for the children side by side with active learning can guide our off springs to anticipate the return.

With all the defeats that are falling the liberation of Palestine and the Arab world, Marwan is still optimistic that things will change, and the day will come when the people will regain their pride in their countries and real honest leaders will prevail.
