• حصل على البكالوريوس من كلية التجارة بجامعة الملك سعود بالرياض عام 1963.
• تلقى تعليمه العالي في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية فحصل على شهادة الماجستير في الإدارة من جامعة منيسوتا عام 1966، ثم حصل على شهادة الدكتوراه في الإدارة العامة من الجامعة الأمريكية بواشنطن في مطلع عام 1970.
• تدرج في السلك الأكاديمي فحصل على درجة أستاذ عام 1979.
• عمل عميداً لكلية التجارة , وكلية العلوم الاجتماعية , وكلية الدراسات العليا، مستشار في عدة هيئات علمية, وعضو في هيئة تحرير المجلة العربية للإدارة, ومجلة العلوم الاجتماعية.
• له العديد من المؤلفات والدواوين الشعرية.

وُلِدَ جان جاك روسو في جنيف بسويسرا عامَ ١٧١٢م، لأسرةٍ فرنسيةٍ بروتستانتية، وماتَتْ أمُّه في أسبوعِ ميلادِه الأوَّل، وكانَ والِدُه «جيمس روسو مُحبًّا للموسيقى، وغرسَ فيه حبَّ المعرفةِ والقراءة عانى جان جاك روسو في حياتِه من الحاجةِ وشظَفِ العَيش؛ لذا عملَ بالعديدِ من المِهَنِ والوظائف، فعمِلَ نقَّاشًا، وموسيقيًّا، ومُعلِّمًا، وسكرتيرًا للسفيرِ الفرنسيِّ بالبُندقية لم يتزوَّجْ رسميًّا إلا أنَّه أقامَ علاقتَين؛ الأولى معَ الثريةِ لويز دي وارنز، والثانيةَ معَ المرأةِ البسيطةِ تيريز لوفاسور، ومن المرجَّحِ أنه أنجَبَ منها خمسةَ أطفالٍ أودَعَهم الملجأَ واحدًا تلوَ الآخَر؛ لعدمِ قدرتِهِ على تحمُّلِ نفَقاتِهم
