On added t.-p.: Burchardi praepositi urspergensis Chronicon
This chronicle was formerly attributed to Conradus a Lichtenau, provost of Ursperg. Later researches have shown that the author is Burchardus, the predecesor of Conradus, who took the Choronicon universale of Ekkehardus, abbot of Aura (extending to the year 1125) and continued it to the 1229. cf. Ekkehardus' chronicle is not included here
This edition, begun by Holder-Egger, and continued after his death by von Simson, was put through the press, after the death of the latter, by Bresslau. cf. Einleitung, p. xxxviii
