When v. 2 was published in 1904, v. 1, 3 and 4 were announced to appear soon. They were not published. Of v. 1, 264 pages were printed which the author intended to revise; these sheets were later sold as waste paper. Of v. 3, 160 pages were printed, and destroyed by fire at the University press in 1909. cf. Laval, Bibliogr. de bibliogr. chilenas, 1915
The present issue of v. 1 and 3 is a reprint of the pages as originaly printed
