Douze ans, cela faisait douze ans que cette soirée s’était déroulée. Pourtant, aucun souvenir n’avait quitté la mémoire de Catherine. La peine était toujours ancrée en elle. Ses yeux étaient de plus en plus tristes, elle était à bout. Ce n’était pas possible que Jack, son Jack, ne parte ainsi, l’abandonnant elle et son fils. Non, ce n’était logiquement pas possible.
Elle avait souvenir de tout, y compris le sourire éclatant qu’il avait eu lorsqu’elle avait entamé sa marche nuptial, au bras de son oncle. Les larmes de joie qu’il avait eu le jour où il avait annoncé qu’il la quittait.
