18 Juillet 2006, voilà six jours que l’armée israélienne bombarde frénétiquement le Liban. Le sud, la plaine de la Bekaa et Beyrouth subissent la furie des raids aériens qui détruisent toute l’infrastructure du pays, tuant sans scrupules femmes et enfants. Des immeubles s’écroulent sur leurs habitant, les routes sont coupées et même les convois de réfugiés deviennent des cibles pour les avions qui survolent sans relâche le pays. Les Libanais sont figés devant les écrans de télévision qui relayent en direct et à longueur de journée les images des atrocités.
Six jours, c’est le temps qu’il a fallu à Laure Ghorayeb pour sortir de sa torpeur et se mettre au travail, six jours pour se rendre compte de la réelle gravité de la situation, six jours pour comprendre que le pire restait à venir.
Dés le premier dessin, le ton est donné : face au massacre l’immobilisme est inconcevable, personne ne viendra à l’aide, il faudra se sauver par soi-même, canaliser son énergie, exorciser ses peurs, ou plus simplement détourner son attention du bruit des bombes.
