إنه العام 2022 والعالم أصبح على شفير الهاوية بسبب انعكاسات التلوث بثاني أكسيد الكربون، وندرة مياه الشفة، والتغيرات المناخية الحادة، التي إذا استمرت قد تقضي على البشرية.
ناشطة بيئية في لبنان تسعى لكبح جماح وحش التلوث، وتواجه أحد رموزه. رجل أعمال جشع لا يهمه سوى الوصول إلى السلطة والمال، ولو على حساب بيئة كوكب الأرض، معارضاً استخدام الطاقة المتجددة، ومسانداً المصانع الملوثة للجو، ومتاجراً بالمبيدات الزراعية المعدّلة، ومشبعاً هواياته باصطياد حيوانات على شفير الانقراض.
صراع مستميت لا يستكين، تصدم فيه الأخطار المحدقة بالبشرية القارئ، ليتعرّف من خلالها إلى الحلول الناجعة للخروج من دوامة التلوث القاتلة، ولينتصر منطق الحق وحب البقاء في النهاية، وذلك في قالب روائي ممتع، مقدماً الرواية العربية الأولى التي تتخذ من البيئة مسرحاً وبطلاً في الوقت عينه، لتقرع ناقوس خطر انقراض الحياة على كوكب الأرض بسبب جشع وأنانية بعض أبناءه.
إنها رسالة توعية إلى الشباب بالدرجة الأولى لتلمُّس الأخطار المحدقة بكوكبنا، ليعرفوا ماذا ينتظرهم وينتظر أولادهم إذا لم يبادروا إلى أخذ زمام الأمور بأيديهم، والعمل الجاد على إزاحة الأخطار التي تهدد البيئة، وإحلال البدائل المناسبة مكانها.
