جو نيسبو، روائي وصحفي وموسيقار وخبير اقتصادي ولد في 29 مارس عام 1960.
اشتهر جو نيسبو بكتابة الأدب البوليسي.
في مارس عام 2014، حققت كتب "جو نيسبو" مبيعات بلغت أكثر من 3 مليون نسخة في النرويج وحدها، كما بلغت كتبه المترجمة، والتي ترجمت إلى أكثر من 40 لغة، 23 مليون نسخة.
كتب جو نيسبو أيضًا تحت اسم مستعار هو: توم جوهانسون، وتحولت بعض رواياته إلى أفلام سينمائية ضخمة.
Book Description
حين انتقل "هاري هول" إلى هونغ كونغ، كان يظن أنه يهرب من جروح حياته في أوسلو، ومن مهنته كمحقق يسعى لفعل الخير. لكن ما لم يفكر فيه قد حصل؛ فها هو أوليغ الصبي الذي ساعد في تربيته قد تم اعتقاله بتهمة قتل رجل. لم يصدق هاري أن أوليغ قد يكون القاتل، لذا عاد إلى أوسلو لمطاردة القاتل الحقيقي.
وعلى الرغم من أنه لم يعد يعمل في سلك الشرطة، كانت لديه قضية عليه حلها. وسترسله هذه القضية إلى أعماق عالم المخدرات في المدينة، حيث ينتشر نوع جديد من المخدرات القاتلة. هذه التحريات الشخصية ستقود هاري هول لمواجهة ماضيه والحقيقة المرة المتعلقة به وبأوليغ.
رُشحت رواية "الشبح" للجائزة الدولية لهيئة الكتّاب البوليسيين لعام 2012.

"... أخبرتك عن الرجل الذي يرعاني، وكيف طردني لأن زوجته معجبة بي. وأنت أيضاً يا أوليغ تكلمت عن رجل كانت أمك معه... عن شرطي يدعى هاري ادعيت أنه من الطراز الأول... وأنه شخص يمكنك الثقة به... لكن شيئاً سيئاً حصل... أولاً بينه وبين أمك، ثم تورطت في جريمة قتل كان يعمل عليها، وعندها انتقلت أنت وأمك إلى أمستردام. قلت لك حينها إن الرجل قد يكون من الطراز الأول فعلاً لكن هذا تعبير سخيف، في حين قلت لي إن تعابيري أسخف. وقد سألتني عن سبب تكلمي هذه اللغة النروجية المبتذلة؛ فأنا لست من الجانب الشرقي في أوسلو. قلت إن المبالغة مجرد مبدأ لدي؛ لأنها تؤكد على نقطة. ثم طلعت الشمس وكنت أظن أن هذا أفضل شيء يقوله عني أحد ما...".
جو نيسيبو موسيقي، ومؤلف أغانٍ، واقتصادي، وأحد أفضل كتّاب الجريمة وأكثرهم نجاحاً اليوم. فاز عام 2004 بجائزة "غلاس كي" (المفتاح الزجاجي)، وهي الجائزة الأهم في مجال مؤلفات الجريمة في شمال أوروبا، وذلك عن روايته الأولى التي قدّم فيها محقق الشرطة هاري هول. يعيش جو نيسبو في العاصمة النرويجية أوسلو.
