تهدف المقالة إلى صياغة رؤية مستقبلية للنهوض بالکرة الطائرة في جمهورية مصر العربية 2020-2030م
تُعنى دراسات المستقبل بالاحتمالات المختلفة التي يمکن أن تؤول إليها حال الدول في المستقبل البعيد، وبعد دراسة کل الاحتمالات الممکنة يتم بعناية تحديد المستقبل المنشود ودراسة کيفية الوصول إليه عبر تخطيط قومي إستراتيجي طويل المدى. تهتم أيضاً دراسات المستقبل بالحاضر وأحياناً الماضي وذلک فقط في إطار معرفة إيجابيات تلک الفترة وسلبياتها کخطوة أساسية نحو إحداث التغيير المنشود.
لتوصيف الوضع الراهن لرياضة الکرة الطائرة تم وضع سبعة محاور لتحليل المدخلات والمخرجات عن طريق التحليل البيئي الرباعى من خلال تحليل البيئة الداخلية لاکتشاف مواطن القوة Strengths ومواطن الضعف Weaknesses، وتحليل البيئة الخارجية لاکتشاف الفرص المتاحة Opportunities، والتهديدات Threats، وهو أسلوب متعارف عليه عالمياً لتحليل البيانات.
والمحاور السبعة هي:
1. الموارد البشرية.
2. البنية التحتية.
3. البيئة الجغرافية والمناخية.
4. السياسة والتشريعات.
5. اتجاهات المجتمع.
6.الدعم والتمويل.
7. البحث العلمى.
وفى کل محور من المحاور السبعة تم التعرض لکل من:
1. التحديات
2. مبادرات وآليات التنفيذ
3. بعض المشروعات المقترحة لتحقيق کل هدف .
