الجزء الأول من سلسلة أفضل كاراتيه لمستر ماساتوشي ناكاياما بعنوان "الكتاب العام" مترجم للعربية، تم اصداره باللغتين اليابانية والإنجليزية عام 1977، يحتوى على شرح لتقنيات الأساسية لاستخدام اليد والقدم وأيضا الساعد والساق، وتقنيات الدفاع والضرب والركل المختلفة، ونبذة عن قطبي الكاراتيه، الكاتا والكومتيه، والمبادئ الأساسية للتدريب، تم ترجمته للعربية في سبتمبر 2023 بواسطة/ شادي أحمد ثابت.
